Monday 12th October 2026, beginning with refreshments at 7pm. The evening will provide an opportunity to highlight the challenges faced by victims of domestic violence and abuse, and to reflect together on how local organisations and communities are responding and will be open to any member of the public who wishes to attend (free of charge). We want the public to hear from local experts and activists in this field who are working with men and women who are victims of domestic abuse. Only if we are better educated about these issues can we campaign more effectively for change. There will be presentations from key charities and stakeholders, together with an opportunity for panel discussion and conversation. We hope to bring together voices from across the community in order to deepen understanding, strengthen local partnerships, and encourage a co-ordinated response in support of those affected. We also want to include a panel discussion with local politicians to hear what more can be done to deal with an issue which many people care passionately about.
