Celebrating Creativity and Community Spirit at St. Mildred’s
A Heartfelt Thank You to the Children of St. Mildred’s Mountaineers
A huge thank you to the children of St. Mildred’s Mountaineers for their incredible contribution to our community garden. These young artists have crafted the most amazing scarecrows, which are now proudly positioned in our garden, diligently protecting our crops from birds and squirrels.
If you haven’t yet had the chance to admire these beautiful scarecrows, we warmly invite you to visit our garden. It is open every Tuesday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm, and on the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 12:30pm. Witness firsthand the creativity and hard work of our Mountaineers and enjoy the serene beauty of our community space.
Our community garden thrives thanks to the dedication of our local gardeners who meet every Tuesday at 2pm. If you have a green thumb or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, we welcome you to join us. Our entrance is conveniently located on Sefton Road.
For those interested in learning more about our Mountaineers or other parish activities, please reach out to the Parish Office. You can call us at 020 8655 1434 or send an email to parishoffice@stmildredschurch.org.uk. We are always eager to welcome new members to our vibrant and supportive community.

The scarecrows in our garden are more than just a defence against pests; they are a testament to the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and community that St. Mildred’s embodies. We are incredibly proud of our Mountaineers and grateful for the joy they bring to our garden and community. Come visit, get involved, and be a part of something special.
