Spring Awakening: Reopening of Our Community Garden!
We are delighted to announce the reopening of our community garden after a restful winter! As the days grow longer and the first signs of spring emerge, we invite you to join us on the 19th March and every Tuesday thereafter between 2pm-4pm, to help tend to the garden for the first hour, from 2pm and then to enjoy tea, coffee and good company from 3pm.

You will notice some changes to the garden that have occurred over winter. At our Sefton Road entrance, you’ll be greeted by a stunning new planter, generously gifted by Croydon Council’s Sustainable Communities department.

In our continuous efforts to promote eco-friendly practices, we’ve introduced a new compost bin that will help us recycle organic waste efficiently. We hope to work to make our garden a greener, kinder space and reduce our environmental footprint.

Additionally, we are proud to unveil our new “Prayer Tree,” a serene spot where you can enjoy being with nature and if you would like, hang ribbons that symbolise wishes, thoughts, memories, or messages.

We invite you to join us for a special blessing of our prayer tree on Tuesday 19th March at 1.45pm, before the first gardening session of the year. Come join us, and let’s make this season one to remember, as we cultivate not only our lovely garden but also the bonds that make our community of Addiscombe thrive.
See you there!
