Community Garden Update – 1 August 2023 🥦🥒🍅
Much to the consternation of our community gardeners we have blackfly on the french beans!
Staying true to our ‘no chemical rule’ we have sprayed the plants with a mix of water and washing up liquid. We are hoping for an improvement next week.
Meanwhile, our courgettes, beetroot, lettuce and tomatoes are, thankfully, aphid free and quite delicious.
The community garden is open every Tuesday afternoon 2pm-4pm.
All welcome to either watch or help. Entrance is in Sefton road next to the Church.
