Generally, St Mildred’s Mothers’ Union branch hold their Lenten Reflection right at the beginning of Lent – but this year was different…
Rev’d Esther Foss, the MU Diocesan chaplain, led our reflection a couple of days before Palm Sunday and we looked, mainly, at the events of Holy Week – in particular through the eyes of the donkey.
we used a variety of media – Biblical texts, poetry (UA Fanthorpe and GK Chesterton), and music.
We also considered how a donkey can show us how to be a good Christian.
It was a wonderful afternoon and we hope Esther will come again – perhaps with a camel next time!
