The Revd. Dr. Evie Vernon O’Brien and her husband Terry, are becoming part of the St Mildred’s family.
Born in Jamaica and ordained in the Church in the Province of the West Indies in 1980, Evie went on to work in inner city parishes and also as a hospital chaplain. She taught at the United Theological College of the West Indies and when she moved to the UK, she was appointed Director of the Selly Oak Centre for Mission Studies. She moved on to be Theological Adviser at USPG, an Anglican mission agency. She assisted at Christchurch, West Croydon
She continues to be passionate about and involved in cross-cultural justice issues.
