It was a wonderfully uplifting experience to fill the new choir stalls and return to singing the wonderful music of Evensong once more.
October’s Evensong will be a tribute to Dennis Jeanes, who has sadly recently retired from the choir after an incredible 55 years of superb service and wonderful singing. Dennis’s strong tenor voice is already much missed, but we will aim to give him a rousing and well-deserved thank you for his Herculean contribution to musical life at St Mildred’s. Dennis has picked the music for Evensong, and it will be a magnificent occasion!
