One of the quiet details in the Easter story is easy to miss. The resurrection
takes place in a garden.
John’s Gospel tells us that the tomb was in a garden, and that Mary Magdalene
at first mistook the risen Jesus for the gardener. It is a small detail, but it is full of
meaning.
The Bible itself begins in a garden. In the Garden of Eden humanity first walked
with God, and it was there that sin and death entered the world. The harmony of
creation was broken and, ever since, humanity has lived with the consequences
of that loss. Yet the story does not end there.

Environmental Strategy – this includes looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint and the possibility of solar panels on the roof. [Genesis 1:31]

Continued support for our Sunday Drop In for the homeless.
Continuing with the Toddler Group and Community Garden.
Starting a food bank collection at church and centre.
Increasing our Financial Strength through our giving:
Meeting our Parish Support Fund Pledge,
Collecting for Christian Aid and the Children’s Society,
Supporting local, national, and worldwide emergencies. [Philippians 4:19]
