Church is all about people
People loving and caring for the world God has made – through the saving love of Jesus Christ
St. Mildred’s Church expresses this in its mission statement “serving the Community in the love of Christ” we believe that everyone has a part to play in this and that it is God’s purpose in our lives. St. Mildred’s has both a Church and Centre which are our principle resources in attaining this goal.
Our Church was built in 1932 and has been called a Cathedral for the suburbs – its large and generous scale is inspirational for our worship on every Sunday and throughout the week. If you visit us you will find a warm welcome, space to pray, opportunities to find and explore your faith and make new friends.
Our Centre was completed in 2007 and adjoins the Church. It enables us to reach out and support those who are most vulnerable in our neighbourhood to help build up family life by providing groups for all ages, and to offer facilities for private parties and special events.
St. Mildred herself was a nun who lived at Minster near Ramsgate; she was famous for her faithfulness to Jesus Christ and her dedication to her own community. She gives us a good example in fulfilling our mission today;
